Their opponents in the finals, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen overcame a pair from Chinese Taipei to progress through the semi finals. Chun Wei Chiu and Jen Chieh Tien were dismissed quickly, going down to 21-10, 21-11, to send Junhui and Yuchen to today’s match.

Ryan Agung Saputro and Angga Pratama showed today why they are the No1 seeds in the tournament and No12 pair in the world, as they stunned the Chinese pair of Junhui and Yuchen in a dominant display to take the first game 21-6. Such was the pressure exerted by the Indonesians that Junhui and Yuchen were forced into making a number of mistakes and never looked threatening.
The second game started with a couple of points going each way before Saputro and Pratama hit their stride, took a 7-point lead, and looked to have the match wrapped up. The Chinese pair found a second wind and recovered the deficit to lead the Indonesians at 20-19, before a 3-point run by Saputro and Pratama claimed the game and sealed the Chinese defeat.
Pratama & Saputro (INA) defeat Junhui & Yuchen (CHN) 21-6, 22-20
